If all things were equal, if we had our best eleven players available I would be more confident going into this match. But as it stands we do will not have that luxury and may well be faced with the kind of game where we will have to grind out a result.

Manchester city vs Watford LIve Free

Watford are not coming into this game on any run of form. If anything that may make the result more of a problem. They are a team who believe they can cause an upset, seeing us look somewhat weakened through injury and squad rotation and fancying their chances. Remember how they roughed up Arsenal last season with glee? This is a match where not only do we need to secure 3 points but we also need to come through without further injury.

Sergio Aguero looks like being subject to a late fitness test. All things told this may well be the kind of match where we hold him back for the Chelsea game so he can renew his acquaintance with David Luiz. This will leave our goal threat being Gabriel Jesus. This is a game where we will need a performance from him.

It is my hope that Guardiola goes with his strongest available team to give us the best chance of winning and to believe that there will be enough recovery time between Tuesday evening and Saturday evening. I therefore hope Fabian Delph and Kyle Walker will start as full backs and that Aymeric Laporte will be partnered again by Otamendi in central defence.

Fernandinho will have to find the legs to play again. I think David Silva and Bernardo Silva should be reunited in midfield. I would look to Mahrez and Sane on the wings with Gabriel Jesus in the middle. Mahrez has had success against Watford and provides Sterling with some rest prior to Chelsea game.

It is my view that playing this team will give us the best opportunity to take 3 points and to counter the physical threat posed by Watford.Manchester City goes to Watford on Tuesday in Premier League play, aiming not to slip up and give up first place to Liverpool. City sits in first place in the league and is still undefeated with a record of 12-2-0, while Watford is in 10th place at 6-2-6. Watford could potentially get up to sixth point with a win in this one.Watford host Manchester City on English Premier League Matchday 15.

The Hornets have had a mixed start to their 2018/19 campaign. They currently sit in tenth place in the EPL. They have won six matches, drawn two and lost six. Their most impressive victory this season came in September as they shocked Tottenham Hotspur. Following this match, however, they have been unable to find their form against the other top clubs in England. The Hornets were overwhelmed by the likes of Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool. They will now face Manchester City in what will be a difficult encounter.

Since their promotion to the EPL in 2016, Watford has lost to Manchester City on all six occasions. Moreover, the Blues have enjoyed their time visiting Vicarage Road. Over the past two season, they have won 11-0 on aggregate. With an ever improving Manchester side, another rout over the Hornets could be in store.

Team News:

Watford’s Adalberto Peñaranda, Pontus Dahlberg, Sebastian Prödl, Tom Cleverley and Younès Kaboul are sidelined due to injury. Étienne Capoue is suspended for this match.

Manchester City’s Claudio Bravo, Kevin De Bruyne and Benjamin Mendy are injured. Sergio Agüero is also injured. Gabriel Jesus, Bernardo Silva and İlkay Gündoğan made a surprised appearance in the match against AFC Bournemouth and are fully fit for this match.Watford are not shy in front of the net, as they have scored 17 goals in 14 EPL matches this season. Their recent two matches, however, have seen them scoreless. They will need to channel their energy should they have any hopes of upsetting the league leaders. Olympique Lyonnais seem to be the only team to have frustrated City this season, and should Watford have any hopes of overcoming City, the Hornets may try to adopt Lyon’s style of play.

Manchester City have demonstrated in the EPL, however, that it will take a valiant effort to defeat them this season. Their productivity in front of goal is remarkable, as they have scored 43 goals in 14 EPL matches. Given their current form, and their history at the Vicarage Road Stadium, it is predicted the Blues will enjoy another successful spell in Watford on Tuesday.

Andros Townsend has had a close link with Roy Hodgson ever since he handed him his England debut in a crucial World Cup qualifier against Montenegro in October 2013, writes Giuseppe Muro.

Townsend inspired England to a 4-1 win at Wembley that night and five years on Hodgson has again turned to the winger in a time of need as Crystal Palace search for the goals to help them steer clear of trouble.
The 27-year-old is deputising for the injured Christian Benteke as a centre-forward and not for the first time in his career he is repaying the faith shown in him by Hodgson.
His stunning strike against Burnley on Saturday has given Palace fresh impetus. He was the standout player in a Palace shirt and even upstaged Wilfried Zaha as the Eagles secured their first home win of the season to move three points clear of the bottom three.
Zaha is so often the man Palace rely on for goals but Townsend could be just as important in their fight to stay up.
He is always capable of changing a game with an explosive moment and showed that against Burnley on Saturday when he cut inside from the right in trademark fashion and sent a left-foot shot from 20 yards into the top corner.
With Palace lacking a genuine marksman, Hodgson now needs him to build on that strike and add more goals to his game. Townsend has spoken about wanting to improve his goal record, having scored just four goals this season and only two last term. In total, he has scored nine times in 96 games for Palace since his £13million move from Newcastle in 2016.
The hope is Benteke will be back from his knee injury this month but the number of goals Townsend and Zaha contribute may determine if Palace can hoist themselves up the table.
Palace travel to Brighton on Tuesday and ahead of the game Hodgson has warned there will be no “magical solution” in the January transfer window to solve their lack of goals.
Hodgson is likely to have limited funds to splash out on a new striker, but he believes Townsend has shown that Palace do not have to solely rely on Zaha.
“I do not think anyone here, including Wilf, has even suggested that our results and the way we play are entirely based upon him,” said Hodgson. “He is one of a team.
“Of course he is an exceptional player, but we have always believed that we have other good players and Wilf is part of that team unit, so it is nice to see others grabbing the headlines.”
Palace got off to a slow start this season, but after a 0-0 draw with Manchester United and a 2-0 win over Burnley, a win againt Brighton would give them real momentum for the first time this campaign.
They had 29 shots against Burnley and at the other end of the pitch, Mamadou Sakho and James Tomkins have formed an excellent centre-back partnership that is giving Palace a solid foundation. They are flanked by the impressive Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Patrick van Aanholt, while Wayne Hennessey is having a superb season in goal.
In midfield, Palace are now starting to see the best of Max Meyer four months after his summer move to Selhurst Park and the influence of Cheikhou Kouyate is also growing.
The demise of West Brom, Stoke and Swansea last season showed that most clubs have to prioritise safety first, but there are signs that Palace have progressed this season.
“I believe the team has been playing well for a period of time and it was nice to see on Saturday in particular and also at Old Trafford,” said Hodgson. “It shows we have a lot of talented players at the club and we are capable of playing good football.”
Hodgson is confident Tuesday’s fixture between rivals Palace and Brighton will not see a repeat of the ugly off-field incidents seen in the Premier League over the weekend.
There will be an increased police presence at the game, with Sussex police keen to show lessons have been learned from last season’s fixture at the Amex Stadium. Hundreds of Palace supporters were denied entry to the stadium, held by police and then kettled back on to trains to London. Two stewards were taken to hospital as tempers boiled over outside the ground.
Sussex police were criticised for their handling of the match and were forced to apologise after falsely claiming a number of Palace fans had “knives and knuckle-dusters” on them.
Palace have been given an increased allocation of close to 2,400 this season. Hodgson said: “I am expecting our fans to behave well and the Brighton fans to behave well.”

Brighton will have to do without the suspended Dale Stephens after his sending off against Cardiff. Alireze Jahanbakhsh and Bruno Saltor (both thigh) will be assessed before kick-off but are unlikely to feature.

Scott Dann and Connor Wickham continue to work back to fitness as they returns to the Crystal Palace first team edge ever closer. Christian Benteke (knee) remains out.

The Cherries have lost their last four fixtures but our tipster is backing Eddie Howe’s men to bounce back in style against the Terriers on Tuesday

Bournemouth will be aiming to bounce back when they play host to Huddersfield Town at Vitality Stadium on Tuesday night.

Eddie Howe’s side had enjoyed their best-ever start to a Premier League season, but the Cherries have been beaten in each of their last four fixtures.

Huddersfield had picked up seven points from their previous three Premier League games before being beaten by Brighton and Hove Albion on Saturday. As such, David Wagner’s men remain perilously close to the bottom three despite their recent upturn in fortunes.

Bournemouth vs Huddersfield Town Live Stream Free

The hosts are chalked up as 8/11 (1.73) favourites with William Hill to return to winning ways when they take on the Terriers.

Huddersfield won just three league matches on their travels last term. However, after taking all three points against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Molineux in their most recent away match, Wagner’s men are targeting back-to-back away wins for the first time since returning to the top tier.

Such an outcome is chalked up as a 4/1 (5.0) chance with William Hill, while the draw is available at 27/10 (3.70) with the same firm.

Team news

Callum Wilson scored his seventh league goal of the season at the weekend and the England international will be keen to add to his tally against the Terriers.

Jefferson Lerma could return to bolster the Cherries’ midfield having served a one-match suspension against Manchester City.

Steve Mounie misses out for the visitors after being sent off in Saturday’s defeat against Brighton. Laurent Depoitre looks likely to replace the Beninese striker in the Terriers’ starting line-up on the south coast.

Toothless Terriers

Huddersfield have scored fewer league goals than any other side in the top tier – just nine in 14 fixtures. Remarkably, none of Huddersfield’s league goals have come from a recognised striker.

With that in mind, the 5/4 (2.25) quote for the Terriers to draw a blank in Dorset could prove popular with punters, while the same firm go 17/20 (1.85) that there are fewer than three goals scored in this one.

Prediction

Bournemouth have had no such problems in front of goal, for they have scored in nine of their last 10 matches, as well as in 15 of their previous 17 league matches at the Vitality Stadium.

A crucial showdown in the tightly-bunched NFC East caps off the Week 13 NFL schedule as the Philadelphia Eagles host the Washington Redskins on Monday Night Football. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET from Lincoln Financial Field. The defending Super Bowl champion Eagles (5-6) are desperate to stay alive in the NFL playoff race and are still looking for their first two-game winning streak of the season. Meanwhile, the Redskins (6-5) defied most projections by starting 6-3 to take the lead in the division, but have lost two straight. Philadelphia is a six-point favorite and the over-under for total points scored is 45 in the latest Eagles vs. Redskins odds. Before you make any Eagles vs. Redskins picks and predictions for Monday Night Football, check out what SportsLine expert R.J. White has to say.

White was SportsLine’s most profitable NFL analyst last season and returned $100 bettors a profit of nearly $2,000. He heads into Week 13 on a 30-20 run on his NFL spread picks. The renowned prognosticator has cashed big in the prestigious Las Vegas SuperContest two of the last three years and now turns his eye toward Monday Night Football. White has a strong history of success in handicapping these teams, boasting a 9-3 record on against the spread picks involving the Redskins or Eagles, so you’ll want to hear which side he’s taking.

Just last week, White advised SportsLine members that Philadelphia (-6) was too big of a favorite against New York. He predicted a close game to the wire, and the Giants covered easily in a 25-22 loss. Anyone who followed White’s advice pocketed another winner.

Now, he has analyzed Redskins vs. Eagles on Monday Night Football from every angle and released a confident point-spread pick that is only available at SportsLine.

White knows the Eagles feel galvanized following their comeback win against New York and are determined to make a final push in order to end up in the postseason with a chance to defend their Super Bowl title. Quarterback Carson Wentz made several key throws and undrafted rookie running back Josh Adams contributed a handful of crucial runs as the Eagles outscored the Giants 14-3 in the second half.

With the game tied 22-22, Wentz led a 50-yard drive late in the fourth quarter that included a critical fourth-down conversion. Kicker Jake Elliott provided the game-winner with a 43-yard field goal.

Redskins quarterback Alex Smith has been lost to a season-ending injury, but veteran backup Colt McCoy held his own in first start since 2014. McCoy was intercepted and sacked three times, but he also completed 24 of 38 attempts for 268 yards and two touchdowns. His 53-yard TD strike to Vernon Davis was Washington’s longest pass play of the year.

The Redskins also have remained relatively solid on the defensive side, allowing 20.8 points per game to rank No. 7 in the NFL in scoring defense.
